A One On One Interview with: "Career The Brain" The Artist

 
 


    "I had the pleasure of sitting down in a "One on One" Interview with my Hommie "Career The Brain". He is a Rapper, Song Writer, and Buisness Man. (A True Hustler) I Sat down with "Career The Brain" to see what he was up to and working on, and what it's like in his life, and this is what he had to say below." (Nothing was Off Limits!)

 

1. "Straight Shooter:" Whats your Full Name and Stage Name?

 

 

"Career The Brain"  Hi, Im High...... Lol nah it's Brandon Bershard Woodson is my government, my stage name is Silk the shocker lol ctfu nah I'm just playing its "Career the Brain" but everyone refers to me as Reer, CTB, or Stoner Simpson. Career is actually an acronym for: Cuz All Real Emcee's Earn Respect. And The brain is from Pinky & The Brain.


2. "Straight Shooter:"    What's your Music Genre?

 

 

"Career The Brain"   I actually just found out I'm an "Emo" artist which I think is cool because Em, Kanye, & Joe Budden are all my favorite artist that fit into that genre but actually I really Dont have a genre I'm just creative. My music is about freedom & liberation of self hate. I use no auto tune, unless its just to pitch correct little notes. I rap about everyday feelings & life thus making me a Emo, Because Emo is a style of rock music characterized by melodic musicianship, with expressive confessional lyrics. It originated in the mid-1980s, the hardcore punk movement of Washington, D.C. Only difference is it transitioned over into rap music.

3. "Straight Shooter:"    How long have you been doing Music?

"Career The Brain"    I started rapping, December 5th of 2000. I learned how to rap off listening to mixtapes. At the time you had to buy mixtapes. The first mix tape I had ever listen to & studied was Funkmaster Flex's "The Mix Tape" Vol. IV. Fabolous & Eminem both had songs on there. Then later 50 cent changed the whole format by taking beats and doing original songs over them around 2002.

4. "Straight Shooter:"   What was the First song/rap you wrote?

 

 

"Career The Brain"   I actually Dont remember writing it. I freestyled it in front of my summer school class in 8th grade & the last lines I remember was saying something about being from P-Rock ,s/o to my Joy Rd & Chi-Town niggas, next thing I know the lunch room was going crazy & I vowed to be a rapper from that day.


5. "Straight Shooter:"   Where were you born, raised and what's your ethnicity?

 

 

"Career The Brain"    I was born in Detroit I was rasied there as well. I'm black its no point for me to explain my mixture because my whole family is mixed but we are all mostly from the D. I'm a westside nigga myself, but I hustled on the eastside. Before I go any further I wanna state two things. One, niggas need to stop with that east vs west shit & two, there is a difference. A westside nigga will be fresh ass fuck, but broke, & east side nigga will be dirty ass hell with a pocket full of money. I'm the best of both worlds I learned how to hustle from the east side & ball from the westside (points to glasses) this a $2,500 pair of glasses & (points to wrist) this a 10,000 watch I don't have a recording deal tho & I Dont trap any more... (Reach's in pocket) I got 20,000 on me now...


6. "Straight Shooter:"   How many children do you have if any?

 

 

"Career The Brain"   I got one, he's 7 years old.  I Don't get to speak to him a lot due to his mother being an asshole, but he understands it's not me being a dead beat father, it's his mother living in her own world, she's a lesbian & she be on some bs, so now I Don't be tripping on her. I Neva did in the first place, Cuz I think I'm the reason for her becoming a lesbian lol.... And I got one on the way by a actress.


7. "Straight Shooter:"    What was one of the biggest set-backs you have experienced?

 

"Career The Brain"   I caught a Fed Case & had to move back into the hood & I didn't have anything just a few dollars, my girl, my mom, & my niggas. I had to move back into the hood, on the westside of Detroit, in a apartment, where I made friends with everyone & got back focused on my music, so I really Don't think it was a set back more, like a trial & error thing. I met good people like you and a host of other people there as well.


8. "Straight Shooter:"   What is one of your biggest accomplishments?

 

"Career The Brain"   Seeing my son being birthed and moving to Atl to further my career no pun intended...


 9. "Straight Shooter:" Who is the most "Over-Rated" Artist or Celebrity out right now, and why?

 

"Career The Brain"   2pac, Biggie & Kendrick Lamar & anyone who's on a reality tv show. Let's start with the reality shows, in order to be a celeb I thought u had to have talent? Welp throw that shit out the window cause making a sextape or having a reality show sky rockets you to fame now a days. Kendrick is an awesome rapper but as far as bars go, he builds then drops off at the climax of every song, but nobody can fuck with that boy lyricly, am I hating lol. Biggie & PAC are over rated because I feel like when people run out of shit to talk about, those are there trump cards. If those two niggas where alive music would still be in it's same state, there not Gods whats so ever! Who's to say that they would have change the sub culture of music? I'm just sayin...


10. "Straight Shooter:"   What type of Woman do you like?

 

"Career The Brain"   I like all types! Ratchets, Thots, Business women, Hood rats, & Models lol nah I really do, but mostly foreign & black women or foreign black women.

"Career The Brain"   Ass man most def! I love a fat ass that's partly why I moved to the Atl. The women down here all got asses, I put that on God...

"Career The Brain"   Lil Herb from Chicago because his music is dope ass fuck. Danny Brown, Chavis Chandler from my city & Frank Ocean I listen to there stuff a lot But my favorite artists is myself, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana because of our deep passion for the music...


13. "Straight Shooter:"   Where do you see yourself and your brand in the next 5 years?

"Career The Brain"   I wanna create a product that's so revolutionary it changes lives. It's illegal to be naked right? So why not create a brand of dope shit & music. All while creating a need for a product. I'm a hustler by nature and I love money more then pussy I'll play broke for long periods of time to see who actually has my best interest, Cuz money changes people and if it don't change you, then your not making enough of it...



14. "Straight Shooter:"  If you had to choose one, which would you choose? Money or Fame and why?

"Career The Brain"  I rather be rich then famous any day. I'm slightly famous now but broke, not broke in the sense of not having money but broke in the sense of, I haven't done anything to uplift my team or artist. Niggas use the term BOSS as if it's a good thing lol wtf is a boss to a C.E.O.? If a person is a boss that means he feeds his whole team or his employees, Cuz he's working towards that in my opinion.



15. "Straight Shooter:"   Who is your Female Celebrity crush and why?

"Career The Brain"   I really Dont have one. I only have crushes on bitches I can actually contact & fuck, it's better that way lol plus I got a Lil bit of money so females come and go, but the fame you gotta work for, these bitches come free..


16. "Straight Shooter:"   Who would be your Ulitimate Collaboration and why?

"Career The Brain"  I wanna work with Prince, Frank Ocean, Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino, Danny Brown, Three Doors Down, Korn, Death Cabcutie, The White Stripes, Kanye Em, Timbland, & Tech N9ne,.I was gonna say Kendrick, but I got a beat on his new shit. Dre & Ozzy Osbourne all in those orders because I'm crazy creative...


17. "Straight Shooter:"    What are your views on Homosexuality?

 

 

"Career The Brain"   I have a cousin who's gay. I love him to fucking death! I'll kill over him! I Don't like the fact that people treat gays or lesbians different. For the record I love pussy lol but I Don't like the fact that homosexuality is looked at as a STD or something. The people who treat others fuck up based upon that I feel are gay themselves or see something within them,  that makes them uncomfortable so I'm saying be you & do you! Idgaf if your white, purple, orange, or red, I love all people, besides Gay people are the cooliest, funniest muthafuckas on the planet and the dopest dressers too. I know, I meet Marc Jacobs not to long ago. I'm not sure if he's gay or not but he said Tom Ford is a bitch nigga lol and we laughed hard ass hell about it but he was saying that to say be yourself and he wasn't mad by the way. So to answer the question at hand I have the up most respect for homosexual people and if you hate on them you'll miss great times & drugs so fuck the haters lol..

"Career The Brain"   Only with females I date and Don't have to use rubbers with. The rest of these bitch's get that latex dick lol. I'm not tryna have another kid plus, I Don't wanna shoot the club up, (cum inside of a girl) especially nutting up in a THOT pocket. It's pull out season and niggas getting anything pregnant only way a chick having my baby is if she Don't swallow for 9 months, and I get head with condoms!

"Career The Brain"   My Influences are my ALPHA BETA MULA niggas. They are the dopest street niggas you'll ever hear and wanna meet and two of them Dont' write it's all off the top of there heads, but at the drop of a dime we will all forget this rap shit & fuck a nigga up. I started rapping Cuz my uncle Will & my cousin Clinton on my mom side they both had library's of music then my uncle Tim on my daddy side always was a fly young nigga still is to this day so the culture was in me, unlike a lot of these local Detroit rappers, the shoot outs & drug dealing. What I'm rapping about is real! My gang affiliation is and was real, but I want out of that life, cuz I want better for the next generation and my kids..

"Career The Brain"   Head is a most def! I think fucking bitch's in the ass is gay. I tried it, my dick must have been to big or something, but it's a no go on fucking in the ass for me, to each its own. I'll put my finger in it, but my dick nooooo lol

"Career The Brain"   I'm moving to Cali for the women, weed, & weather then later next year I wanna move to Japan because of the culture, fashion, and music. It is really nice over there, so the question isn't if, it's when mostly? I'll also be buying a estate.

"Career The Brain"   Lol funny story, I smash a lot of strippers, because there cool as fuck, and as a side note, outside the club with no money or on some bs, strippers come thru & get right to it I swear... Lol (Yeah I Love Dem Stippers!)



24. "Straight Shooter:"   Would you, or have you ever had a Homosexual Experience?

 

"Career The Brain"   Nah I'm not into dicks lol! I Don't even watch straight porn because of the niggas. The only thing close to a homosexual experience I ever had was me & my real little brother were fucking this girl at the same time lol, but I Don't think that's gay as long as we wasn't touching. I'm not comfortable with naked niggas in my presence's which is funny Cuz I used to do Direct Care Work, so to answer that shit NO! I'll Neva indulge in a gay sexual act I like the way pussy taste & feel way much & butt sex is not for me lol no disrespect to anyone.

"Career The Brain"   I'm actually ready to get married now. My only thing is my wife has to be Bi-Sexual. That way she won't get mad at me if I look at other bitch's or wanna pull another for us Cuz she can do it.



26. "Straight Shooter:"   What artist would love to write or produce for and why?

"Career The Brain"   I hate writing for artist because it seems as if there too picky. I have a few I wrote for now. 30. "Straight Shooter:"   If  you could tell a Politian, or any goverment official one thing off your chest, what would it be and why?

 

"Career The Brain"  I think that if Politians and The Government listen closer to The Urban Communities versus The Suburban Communities in America, they would be able to budget, and control things alot better, and if drugs where a legal factor with a real affordable tax, crime would go down, but if a person does 25 years in jail, for a non violent crime, you have to let them out..
