(A True Hustler) I Sat down with "Career The Brain" to see what he was up to and working on, and what it's like in his life, and this is what he had to say below." (Nothing was Off Limits!)

 

1. "Straight Shooter:" Whats your Full Name and Stage Name?

 

 

"Career The Brain"  Hi, Im High...... Lol nah it's Brandon Bershard Woodson is my government, my stage name is Silk the shocker lol ctfu nah I'm just playing its "Career the Brain" but everyone refers to me as Reer, CTB, or Stoner Simpson. Career is actually an acronym for: Cuz All Real Emcee's Earn Respect. And The brain is from Pinky & The Brain.


2. "Straight Shooter:"    What's your Music Genre?

 

 

"Career The Brain"   I actually just found out I'm an "Emo" artist which I think is cool because Em, Kanye, & Joe Budden are all my favorite artist that fit into that genre but actually I really Dont have a genre I'm just creative. My music is about freedom & liberation of self hate. I use no auto tune, unless its just to pitch correct little notes. I rap about everyday feelings & life thus making me a Emo, Because Emo is a style of rock music characterized by melodic musicianship, with expressive confessional lyrics. It originated in the mid-1980s, the hardcore punk movement of Washington, D.C. Only difference is it transitioned over into rap music.

3. "Straight Shooter:"    How long have you been doing Music?

"Career The Brain"    I started rapping, December 5th of 2000. I learned how to rap off listening to mixtapes. At the time you had to buy mixtapes. The first mix tape I had ever listen to & studied was Funkmaster Flex's "The Mix Tape" Vol. IV. Fabolous & Eminem both had songs on there. Then later 50 cent changed the whole format by taking beats and doing original songs over them around 2002.

4. "Straight Shooter:"   What was the First song/rap you wrote?

 

 

"Career The Brain"   I actually Dont remember writing it. I freestyled it in front of my summer school class in 8th grade & the last lines I remember was saying something about being from P-Rock ,s/o to my Joy Rd & Chi-Town niggas, next thing I know the lunch room was going crazy & I vowed to be a rapper from that day.


5. "Straight Shooter:"   Where were you born, raised and what's your ethnicity?

 

 

"Career The Brain"    I was born in Detroit I was rasied there as well. I'm black its no point for me to explain my mixture because my whole family is mixed but we are all mostly from the D. I'm a westside nigga myself, but I hustled on the eastside. Before I go any further I wanna state two things. One, niggas need to stop with that east vs west shit & two, there is a difference. A westside nigga will be fresh ass fuck, but broke, & east side nigga will be dirty ass hell with a pocket full of money. I'm the best of both worlds I learned how to hustle from the east side & ball from the westside (points to glasses) this a $2,500 pair of glasses & (points to wrist) this a 10,000 watch I don't have a recording deal tho & I Dont trap any more... (Reach's in pocket) I got 20,000 on me now...

"Career The Brain"   I got one, he's 7 years old.  I Don't get to speak to him a lot due to his mother being an asshole, but he understands it's not me being a dead beat father, it's his mother living in her own world, she's a lesbian & she be on some bs, so now I Don't be tripping on her. I Neva did in the first place, Cuz I think I'm the reason for her becoming a lesbian lol.... And I got one on the way by a actress.


7. "Straight Shooter:"    What was one of the biggest set-backs you have experienced?

 

"Career The Brain"   I caught a Fed Case & had to move back into the hood & I didn't have anything just a few dollars, my girl, my mom, & my niggas. I had to move back into the hood, on the westside of Detroit, in a apartment, where I made friends with everyone & got back focused on my music, so I really Don't think it was a set back more, like a trial & error thing. I met good people like you and a host of other people there as well.


8. "Straight Shooter:"   What is one of your biggest accomplishments?

 

"Career The Brain"   Seeing my son being birthed and moving to Atl to further my career no pun intended...


 9. "Straight Shooter:" Who is the most "Over-Rated" Artist or Celebrity out right now, and why?

 

"Career The Brain"   2pac, Biggie & Kendrick Lamar & anyone who's on a reality tv show. Let's start with the reality shows, in order to be a celeb I thought u had to have talent? Welp throw that shit out the window cause making a sextape or having a reality show sky rockets you to fame now a days. Kendrick is an awesome rapper but as far as bars go, he builds then drops off at the climax of every song, but nobody can fuck with that boy lyricly, am I hating lol. Biggie & PAC are over rated because I feel like when people run out of shit to talk about, those are there trump cards. If those two niggas where alive music would still be in it's same state, there not Gods whats so ever! Who's to say that they would have change the sub culture of music? I'm just sayin...

"Career The Brain"   I wanna create a product that's so revolutionary it changes lives. It's illegal to be naked right? So why not create a brand of dope shit & music. All while creating a need for a product. I'm a hustler by nature and I love money more then pussy I'll play broke for long periods of time to see who actually has my best interest, Cuz money changes people and if it don't change you, then your not making enough of it...



14. "Straight Shooter:"  If you had to choose one, which would you choose? Money or Fame and why?

"Career The Brain"  I rather be rich then famous any day. I'm slightly famous now but broke, not broke in the sense of not having money but broke in the sense of, I haven't done anything to uplift my team or artist. Niggas use the term BOSS as if it's a good thing lol wtf is a boss to a C.E.O.? If a person is a boss that means he feeds his whole team or his employees, Cuz he's working towards that in my opinion.

BREAKING STORY! "Apollo Nida (Phaedra Parks of The RHOA's Husband) Pleads Guilty Yesterday, could face 30 years in Prison!"

     "Well if I didn't see this coming! Yesterday at around 2:00pm in a U.S. District Court House in Atlanta, Apollo Nida (Husband of The RHOA star Phaedra Parks) plead guilty to Bank, Wire, and Mail Fraud. Sources from the court house tell me that Mr. Nida accepted full responsibility, (As He Should have!) in all of his wrong doings. Apollo also stated that upon his release from prison in 2009 after he married Phaedra Parks, shortly after his release, once he was made aware of his wifes $600,000 dollar a season contract, the pressure was mounting on him to step up and be the man of the house and have some good fianaces coming in, So he master minded the scheme to rob big businesses and the government. Apollo will be sentenced on July 8, 2014 at 2:00pm. Season 7 is also gonna be filming around the time of his sentence, so we will all see this play out infront of the cameras and the world.
